About Me
I’m a former teacher and mom of two. I live in the Chicago area with my kids, husband, and our dog.
I taught for 6 years in a Chicago suburban public school and absolutely loved it. But, like many, I struggled to find the time to parent while juggling all the responsibilities that come with being a teacher. When I was working full time and my oldest started baby-led weaning, I found it almost impossible to make healthy food for her in the little time I had after work. I ended up spending hours meal planning and prepping every week so that I could feed her the way I wanted to. I turned to Instagram pages for inspiration and recipes, and this sparked the idea for my own page. Eventually I learned to cook quick meals and still pack in all the nutrients she needed.

Happy Hungry Littles Begins
3 years and another baby later, @happyhungrylittles on Instagram is where I posted (and still post) meals and recipes that I make for my children and my family. The goal is to offer inspiration to other busy moms who struggle to find time to prepare food for their families. My recipes use simple ingredients, easy to follow steps, and are healthy and convenient (with some fun foods thrown in here and there!).
After gaining a small following, I decided it was time to create a blog. Happyhungrylittles.com is my new and exciting project. This site will be sort of “under construction” while I take the time to carefully add all of my favorite recipes, and meaningful stories that go along with them. I love to write, so I plan to include many details about my background, family, and what’s currently happening in my life.
So, this page is for the busy mom, the working mom, the stay at home mom, the dads that cook, and all the parents in between. I’m so glad you’re here! I love reading and responding to comments, so don’t forget to leave one after you make one of my recipes!
