Greek Yogurt Popsicles
This might be one of the easiest recipes I’ve ever made! You only need a few things to make this:
- Popsicle molds (ours are unicorn shaped from target)
- Flavored Greek yogurt
- Chopped fruit
If you want smaller popsicles these molds are great. If you want them to be a little bigger, these ones are awesome too. Once you have popsicle molds at home, you’ll find so many uses for them. You can check out my healthy chocolate ice cream recipe and make fudge pops, blend up fruit and veggies to make smoothie popsicles, or simply freeze juice! We’re always using our molds during the summer months.
This recipe is safe and healthy for babies and toddlers. But, be mindful of frozen fruit and its potential to be a choking hazard. Also, be sure the ingredients in the yogurt you choose are safe and healthy for your child’s age. We like using low sugar Greek yogurt for the health benefits and extra protein.
One of the best parts about this recipe? It can be served for breakfast! If you would give you child Greek yogurt and fruit for breakfast, why should it be any different if you freeze it? On extra warm mornings, sometimes I pull these out of the freezer and take the kids to the backyard while they’re still in their pajamas. It’s so much fun for them, and no prep or cleanup for me!
If you make this recipe, please be sure to leave me a review and a comment! Thank you!
Greek Yogurt Popsicles
Equipment
- Popsicle mold
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups flavored Greek yogurt less sugar/low sugar version
- 1 cup chopped or crushed fruit
Instructions
- Chop your fruit of choice. If using blueberries, smash or crush for safety.
- Mix fruit with Greek yogurt. The amount of each doesn't really matter. Don't stress about the measurements!
- Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- Like I mentioned in the instructions, don’t stress about measurements. They really don’t matter! Use more fruit, or use none at all. They will still be delicious.
- You can use plain whole milk Greek yogurt. But, older toddlers, kids, and adults might have a hard time with the sour flavor. Babies will love it!
- For babies 6-12 months old, omit fruit as this could be a choking hazard.
- Feel free to add other mix ins like chia seeds, nut butters, honey (12m+), and more!
