You might be asking yourself, “How can something be dipped in avocado? Isn’t this banana just dipped in chocolate?” And, I’m here to tell you that you absolutely can create a delicious chocolate dip from avocados!

Avocados are extremely nutritious and a great source of “good fat.” They are a healthy addition to BLW, toddler, kid, and adult diets! So, why not make them taste like chocolate!?

The best part:

This recipe has no added sugar, uses only healthy ingredients, and is so delicious that my kids think its a dessert! The honey DOES contain sugar, but I’m usually okay with adding honey because its natural, adds delicious flavor, and has healthy qualities.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 bunch of ripe bananas
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • honey
  • milk or milk alternative
  • unsweetened cocoa powder
  • sticks
  • sprinkles or other toppings (optional)

The Stick:

There are tons of different options for sticks! Popsicle sticks work great, and I’ve heard of straws working well too. The sparkly sticks I used in my video are found on Amazon, and my kids LOVE them! They add such a fun touch to this treat, or any popsicle or other frozen treat.
