Healthy Pumpkin Donuts

Feel good about eating donuts with this super healthy pumpkin donut recipe with pumpkin frosting. This recipe uses nutritious ingredients like oats, pumpkin puree, and Greek yogurt, and uses no refined sugar.

- 1 1/2 cup rolled or old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup applesauce unsweetened, for a healthier donut
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt full fat
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
Frosting
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt full fat
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- *optional but encouraged: sprinkles
Donuts
Preheat oven to 350 F or 177 C.
Add DONUT ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Grease a donut pan with butter or cooking oil, and pour the batter into the pan. Fill each about 3/4 full.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
